Braces and Medicaid
HI I'M A SINGLE PARENT WITH NO INCOME AND MY DAUGHTER JUST TURNED 14 AND HER DENTIST REFFERED HER TO SEE AN ORTHONDTIST FOR BRACES BUT WE MEDICAID AND HER TEETH IS IN VERY BAD SHAPE SHE HATES TO GO TO SCHOOL CAUSE ALL THE KIDS TALK ABOUT HER SO HOW CAN I FIND AN ORTHODTIST THAT ACCEPT MEDICAID
Dr. Slota: You may have to call each orthodontist in your area to see who would be accepting patients with Medicaid. Your daughter has an obvious need, unfortunately Medicaid may not see this as "need". That would mean you would need to pay for it yourself.
Unfortunate but reality.
my son needsbraces he has medcaid are they any accepts medcaid for braces.

I need braces. The teeth next to the front teeth our high up. My mom and me went to the dentist and they said I had to wait until the teeth come down for I can get braces. They came down a litle and the rest of the teeth are in between crooked and straight do you think my insurance would pay for the braces? The insurance I have is Caresouce. Are tehy accept Caresouce for braces?

I would call medicaid. My foster child has Medicaid and was just approved for 100% braces. Good Luck

my daughter needs braces we are on medicade (public aid) her teeth are every which way do yu have anyone I can call to get her those braces? I live in chicago (northside) we had one but when we went 2 the appt. he/she wasn't in .. how much "pain " will she undergo during the placement of these braces... she hates dentists...

Im 20 yeard old and I just got my braces,Im using mediciad,hwever there is aproblem,they say that medicaid does not pay for braces after 21,so what is that suppose to mean,is that mean that the orthodntic will stop working on me and leave all those wires in my mouth till I pay or he will continous givine me service and he will collect his money from medicaid and then mediciad will be bill me after the age 21.can someone please tell me what is gonna happend in this case, and also how I can make medicaid understand that treatment takes longer,I started when i was 19 but to get approval and waiting list is almost a 1 yr.and make them pay till I finish,please help me with info
